 Challenge

The PMO started with 3 people and they needed to establish standards of practice, processes, and drive adoption. The PMO leader was new to the role.


 Solution

  • Mapped the project management life cycle process, including implementing an executive-level governance structure and gating process.

  • Rolled out standards of practice – tools, templates

  • Developed organizational development strategy including competency mapping, career pathing plans, hiring strategy, and talent management advice

  • Developed PPM solution using Smartsheet



 Outcome

PMO eventually scaled from IT-specific projects to enterprise-wide with 20+ project managers overseeing a complex portfolio spanning facilities, IT, product, client services, and M&A projects
